Powerful Prayer

Some speak of the power of prayer as we go before God with those things which mean so much to us. But what is the power of prayer? Is it to somehow get from God that which we want? No, that is far too little to ask. God has given prayer as a means for us to grow in our relationship with Him. When Jesus taught the disciples to pray He told them to direct their prayers to, "Abba--father." There is intimacy in this word as it is equivalent to our, Daddy. So, what is your image of God? Your prayers operate from that image. It is my prayer that we, the church, help people use this tool of prayer to grow in their relationship with Him who gave His son, Jesus, to die that we might call Him, Daddy.

How great is the love the Father has lavished on us that we should be called, children of God. 1 John 3:1
